Fender Custom Shop ‘64 L-Series Strat Neck
Fender Custom Shop L- Series '64 Lam Board Stratocaster Neck.
Here's one from a very nice spec'd FCS L-Series '64. Quarter Sawn Maple, Dark Indian Rosewood Laminate Board. 60's Oval C with a thin nitrocellulose finish.
The only blemishes to mention are a few dings on the back from the 1st Fret to the 7th. These do not affect the play at all. IMHO this is truly "Relic Ready" after some play your hand will start to oxidize the wood and buff out the nitro finish. Leaving an authentic vintage Strat look.
Neck is straight as an arrow, I meticulously played and found no dead spots. Frets are nice and level with minimal wear.
If you have bought from me, you may know that I strongly believe in the sum of all things add to a killer Strat, the neck is a good 70% of that tone. I can personally vouch this one is a player! Rigid light maple, the rolled edges make it a dream to play. I usually prefer a beefier neck, but this Oval C really lends itself to the best of both worlds. Thin at the first few frets, with the oval neck shape really filling your hand nicely.
Here is a chance to own a rare L-Series Spec Fender Custom Shop neck with all the vintage accurate appointments.
