Fender Custom Shop Ancho Poblano Strat Body

Another standout piece from Rock Island. This is a Fender Custom Shop Ancho Poblano Stratocaster body from the 2015 flagship run. Finished in a classic ’56 two-tone sunburst, it reflects a period when the Fender Custom Shop placed a strong emphasis on traditional materials, lightweight construction, and vintage-correct finishes.
 
The Ancho Poblano models were produced in relatively modest numbers, and it’s uncommon to see bodies from this era available on their own. This example was originally purchased complete and has remained in dead-mint condition. It is not a second-hand or reclaimed part — you will be the first owner of this body outside of its original guitar.
 
Finished in a thin nitrocellulose lacquer with tasteful, authentic checking throughout, the select alder body is exceptionally resonant. It weighs in at a very comfortable 3 lbs 14 oz, contributing to a finished Strat that came in well under 7.5 lbs.
